Warren D. Griffin
B.Sc., LL.B.
Warren has been practising law for over twenty-five years in Kitchener-Waterloo. After completing his B.Sc. in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, he then attended The University of Western Ontario, completing his law degree in 1981. Upon his call to the bar in 1983, Warren joined Ted Giesbrecht in his practice.
Warren’s practice has been primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial law, wills and estates, and real estate. He has advised charitable organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of local charities and corporations. He is presently the Past Chair of the Centre in the Square, Chair of the Sunnyside Home Foundation and a member of the Board of The Waterloo Region Dream Centre. He has taught law courses to business and accounting students at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo for the past 15 years and has done work with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in the area of the certification of out of Province accountants. Being part of a team of ten instructors, Warren also provides continuing education for the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada.
Warren is married and has two grown children. He enjoys skiing, snowboarding and cycling and has coached minor sports. Warren’s active involvement in the music and drama ministries at his church is a source of great joy and adds a wonderful balance to his life.
