Jennifer joins the firm as an Associate with several years of experience in Civil Litigation, particularly within the areas of estate and power of attorney litigation, employment law, real estate, contractual disputes and negligence. Jennifer has successfully represented clients at all levels of Court, including the Court of Appeal, administrative tribunals and in mediation and arbitration. With a passion for dispute resolution, Jennifer is committed to ensuring successful outcomes for her clients.
Jennifer has also extended her practice to include Family Law, with a focus on assisting clients with a broad range of issues, from parenting time and decision making with respect to children, to property matters.
Jennifer obtained her LL.B. with honours before completing a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law, from the University of the West Indies. She was called to the Trinidad and Tobago Bar in 2007, before being called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.
While she was born in Toronto and educated in Trinidad and Tobago, Jennifer now resides in Kitchener with her family, and enjoys quiet weekend pursuits with her husband and children.
Jennifer is also passionate about mentoring and supporting struggling communities within the Kitchener-Waterloo community. She currently serves as a member of the Board of OneRoof Youth Services, a non-profit organization operating in the heart of Kitchener. She also volunteers with the Ontario Justice Education Network’s Braiding Justice Into Diversity (Waterloo) program, which aims to promote legal education and connect young women from marginalised backgrounds with legal professionals.
